This winter, LynnMall is proud to become a collection point for Give a Kid a Blanket -helping local children and families stay warm and feel supported. By donating a quality blanket or winter essential, you’re turning an everyday shop into something truly meaningful.
Why we’re doing this:
At LynnMall, we believe shopping centres can be more than a place to shop, we can be a place where the community comes together. Through Love Local, Give Local, we’re creating a simple way for customers to support local charities at key times of the year, building connection and long-term goodwill across West Auckland.
About Give a Kid a Blanket:
Give a Kid a Blanket is a community-powered charity with a clear mission: to relieve the effects of poverty and offer practical help by gifting “objects of warmth” - like blankets, bedding and clothing, to those who need them most. Give a Kid a Blanket has helped support over 100,000 people since they began in 2015.
Donations are distributed through frontline community support networks including New Zealand Police, Public Health Nurses, and Community/Social Workers, helping get essentials to families who need them. A key part of what makes this charity special is its respect and dignity: Give a Kid a Blanket focuses on ensuring people feel warm and valued, which is why they ask for quality new, handmade, or excellent-quality pre-loved items.

Please ensure excellent-quality pre-loved items are washed/clean before donating.
Where to donate at LynnMall:
You’ll find the Love Local, Give Local donation collection bin outside Foot Locker in LynnMall. If your donation parcel is large, please drop into Centre Management (between Foot Locker & Oscar Wylee).
