By donating a quality blanket or winter essential\, you’re turning an ev eryday shop into something truly meaningful.\n\nWhy we’re doing this:\nA t LynnMall\, we believe shopping centres can be more than a place to shop\ , we can be a place where the community comes together.  Through Love Loc al\, Give Local\, we’re creating a simple way for customers to support l ocal charities at key times of the year\, building connection and long-ter m goodwill across West Auckland.\n\n\n\nAbout Give a Kid a Blanket:\nGive a Kid a Blanket is a community-powered charity with a clear mission: to re lieve the effects of poverty and offer practical help by gifting “object s of warmth” - like blankets\, bedding and clothing\, to those who need them most.  Give a Kid a Blanket has helped support over 100\,000 people since they began in 2015.\nDonations are distributed through frontline com munity support networks including New Zealand Police\, Public Health Nurse s\, and Community/Social Workers\, helping get essentials to families who need them.  A key part of what makes this charity special is its respect and dignity: Give a Kid a Blanket focuses on ensuring people feel warm and valued\, which is why they ask for quality new\, handmade\, or excellent- quality pre-loved items.\n\nHow you can help:\nPlease donate new (if you a re able) or excellent-quality pre-loved items (clean and in great conditio n):\n• Blankets\n• Sleeping Bags\n• Duvet inners &\; covers\n• Winter bedding\n• Pyjamas\n• Beanies.
